2012 is a major year of celebration, with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics in London - we look forward to sharing in events that will be held locally, and welcome everyone to help plan, prepare and enjoy together. If you have particular ideas, or can offer particular skills, please get in touch as soon as possible. Some planning, with the Parish Council, is already under way...!
...below you can catch up on some of the highlights of 2011...
...what might YOU be a part of in 2012...?
A big Thank You to Salisbury Community Choir for a very enjoyable and entertaining evening of Halleloojah Choruses on 15 October, which raised almost £1,000 towards the Facilities Project. Thank you too to everyone who supported the event!
Rev'd Penny Joyce joins the Bourne Valley Team Over fifty supporters, family and friends gathered to welcome Penny on Tuesday 6 September as she was licensed by Bishop Graham Kings to work in Old Sarum (part of St Michael's parish), in a pionering part time role jointly established with St Francis church in Salisbury.

Bourne Valley Boules - Churches Challenge Cup
A great evening's entertainment - and victory this year went to the Anglicans!!! Champion team overall was the Bartlett family...

A close thing - accuracy is key, as Roger Morgan measures to see which boule is closest to the 'jack'!

Excellent technique...!
Despite the weather, the Annual Fete was very successful - see the photos below...

The Girls Brigade float had a Caribbean theme: Aloha!

The Brownies float was 'in the jungle' - perhaps a rain forest!?

We were delighted that Chaplain General Stephen Robbins and his wife Lydia were able to judge the floats and open the Fete this year!

Thank you to the Wilton RBL Band who played beautifully throughout the afternoon

Some of the many happy visitors who enjoyed the stalls and entertainment at the Fete - thank you so much for coming and supporting St Mary's and St Michael's...
Winterbourne Wedding and Flower Exhibition: Thank you to all who contributed to this very successful weekend event - all the hard work was well worth it!
